Desolace at night Every once in awhile I remember to do a screen capture when playing World of Warcraft. This one was taken a few nights ago on the shores of desolace. Though I also like Tirsifal Glades as well. Sometimes I’m just amazed at how beautiful this game can be, given the age of the engine. I had a lot of good adventures in Lakeshire. And I like the weird mutations of Undercity (besides which it’s laid out very logically, once you get used to it). My son really liked Un Goro Crater. Undercity, annoyed the hell out of me the first time I went there. Couldn’t figure it out to save my life. Then I found cartographer and made things simple. I’ve only been playing WoW for about 4 months and haven’t seen most of Azeroth, but that’s part of the fun for me, is finding new places. Every city is annoying the first time, but some I get the hang of and some I never do. Maybe the circle setup is just better for me than the quadrant one, as I find my way around Ironforge, too, but never Stormwind. I haven’t rolled an alliance character so I’ve not made it to Ironforge or Stormwind, but thinking of makin an alliance alt, to experience that side of the game. Silvermoon City is the easiest to get around in for me. Being a Blood Elf Hunter, I’m in SM a lot. And I’m still not exalted there yet! More and more I want to play this game. I love video games, but stayed away from MMO’s like WoW simply because I prefer solo play (insert sexual innuendo here). However, WoW is just a lot of fun. You can easily solo in the game and not miss a thing. I got lucky and joined a guild with 2500 members and can always find someone to give me a hand if needed. If you decide to play, cuss, they have a 14 day trial to see if you like it. If you give it a whirl, go to the earthen ring realm and I’ll get you started.
